At Apple’s Spring Loaded event yesterday, the company announced the successor to last year’s iPad Pro. The 2021 iPad Pro comes in two screen sizes. They are now powered by Apple’s own Silicone chipsets. The latest offerings also support 5G connectivity, come with stellar displays and hardware as well as camera improvements.

iPad Pro 2021 specifications and features
The iPad Pro 2021 is offered in 11-inch and 12.9-inch display variants. The former features an IPS LED-backlit Liquid Retina panel with a resolution of 2,388 x 1,668 pixels. The latter comes with an IPS mini-LED Liquid Retina XDR display that offers 2,732 x 2,048-pixel resolution and full-array local dimming. Both iPad Pro models offer 1,600 nits peak brightness, True Tone, DCI-P3 wide colour gamut as well as Dolby Vision, HDR, HDR10 and HLG support. The iPad Pros 2021 also feature ProMotion aka adaptive 120Hz refresh rate.
Under the hood, both the 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro are equipped with Apple M1 chipsets. The latest offerings pack 8GB RAM paired with either 128GB, 256GB and 512GB storage options. The tablets are also offered in 1TB and 2TB storage variants coupled with 16GB onboard RAM. The 11 and 12.9-inch variants are powered by 28.65Wh and 40.88Wh batteries respectively. They run on iPadOS 14.
In the camera department, the iPad Pro sports a 12MP main lens accompanied by a 10MP ultra-wide sensor. On the front, the tablets feature a 12MP ultra-wide unit. The iPad Pro also comes with a LiDar scanner, 2x optical zoom, and 4K video recording.
